Frequently asked questions
Do you accept insurance?
I understand that the cost of therapy is an important consideration, and that using insurance can make care more affordable. I have chosen not to work with insurance companies due to a variety of reasons. Foremost, insurance requires mental health diagnosis to cover services, and often limits the number or type of sessions allowed. This can interfere with the pace and focus of our work together. By staying independent from insurance, I’m able to protect your privacy and provide therapy that’s fully tailored to your needs - not dictated by an insurance company’s rules.
Working outside of insurance also allows me to:
Protect your confidentiality: Your information stays between us, without being shared with insurance databases.
Focus on your goals, not labels: We can explore your experiences and growth without the need for a formal diagnosis unless it’s clinically appropraite or helpful to you.
Offer flexibility: You can choose how often and how long we meet, based on what’s most supportive for you.
